Intersection Hwy 55/Hwy 44 is 95.3 Miles

Trail Head Facilities: Creek close by; Pit Toilet; Tie racks, Picnic tables; Sign in box.

Road Conditions: Paved Highway to Lowman then changes to a gravel road {FS#:582}in Lowman for 12.5 miles then changes to minimally maintained single track [FS road#:515] for the last 5 miles.

Trail description: Trail leaves the Red Mountain Transfer camp on a blocked log road. The road ends in about 1/2 mile and transitions to a trail climbing up the mountain from ~6200’ elevation to 7500’ in 2.75 miles; which gets you within 1.25 miles from the lakes.

Trail: Easy to Moderate fair amount of hiker activity connects into motorized trails on ridge before lakes

Red Mountain Look out point is ~8700’; the lakes range in elevation from ~8262’ to 7800’.
